The pad consists of a body (1) of an elastically-deformable material which is designed to fit onto the spectacle frame by a lug (2). The pad has a concave thrust surface (6) and an outline shape which is like that of a guitar body, with recesses (10) in its outer edges. The concave shape of the pad's surface means that it leaves a gap between it and the wearer's nose when worn. The spectacle frame nose bridge and pads can be moulded in a single assembly.
