The system has a character analysis unit (18) analyzing a character string contained in electronic messages and having a detection unit (24) detecting a scrambled character string for providing a part of analysis results which is utilized by an electronic message classification unit (20). The unit (20) has a detection unit (36) detecting a predetermined character string in the content of the electronic messages. An independent claim is also included for a process of filtering an electronic message.
