PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a component mounting simulation method in which a mounting program can be confirmed visually, even if no mounting substrate is made on an experimental basis by using an actual mounting machine. SOLUTION: A computer 2, which executes component mounting simulation reads a mounting program 10 used for a mounting machine which mounts various kinds of components on a substrate, and containing component mounting order and mounting data specifying components to be mounted. Then the computer 2 acquires the preliminarily prepared form configuration drawings of the parts to be mounted from a data base 8 in the mounting order specified in the mounting data and individually displays the drawings on its screen. Then the image of the substrate is taken with a CCD camera 4 and the image of the substrate, including the mounting positions of the parts to be mounted, is displayed on the screen of the computer 2 of the same time as with the form drawings of the components. The operator of the computer 2 compares the displayed image and drawings with each other, and determines whether or not the mounting data contain nonconformities. |
