Production of bulked pile nonwoven knitted fabric involves combining the base layer (A) with at least one layer (B) and a fiber nonwoven (15). Compound needles (7) bond them together by the pile loops or folded pile heads (2a,4a) of the pile layer (2,4) of each layer (A,B). The fibers of the additional layers (15) are knitted into a knitted layer (3) and a pile layer. The newly formed layer (B) is penetrated only by the pile layer (2,4) of the upper layer at the pile loops or folded pile heads (2a,4a), and both sides are bonded together. Preferred Features: The base layer (A) is a single or multi-layer pile nonwoven knitted material, folded pile fiber knit, pile yarn knitted or woven fabric. The base layer (A) is prepared separately and in advance, or it is made directly before the additional layers (B) are worked in at the first stage and using the same machine. The fiber nonwoven (15) is unbonded or lightly bonded. |
