A plastic pipe (5a) with side branch stubs (5b) is formed by continuous extrusion into two sets of molds (1) moving over a mandrel. Moving with the molds (1) are short mandrels (7) to form the central hole of the side branches. Independent claims are also included for the following: (a) an arrangement of two sets of movable molds (1) and mandrels (7) incorporating heating; (b) a branched pipe made by continuous extrusion; (c) a flow component backed by an insulator using continuously extruded branched pipe as inlet and outlet manifold.
