PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrode group forming device for a spiral battery with its electrode group formed by winding a long stretching positive electrode, a separator, and a negative electrode without generating dislocation in winding. SOLUTION: An electrode group forming device for a spiral battery is equipped with a positive electrode chuck 36, a separator chuck 30, and a negative electrode chuck 38 to grasp the tails, respectively, of a sheet-form positive electrode, a separator, and a negative electrode, and when these sheet elements are wound on, the chucks slide on respective guide rails 32, 28, 34 while giving back tensions to the sheet elements. |
