PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a user to judge whether to operate an air conditioner or not from a remote location by converting temperature information detected by a temperature detecting means to the audible sound of a specific frequency to hear from a handset to allow him to confirm a temperature in his house by a portable telephone set, a public telephone set, etc., from the remote location. SOLUTION: The power switch of a tele-controller 3 is turned ON before going out, thereby the tele-controller flicker displays as calling display at the time of dialing to a telephone number connected with the tele-controller 3 from a telephone set 4 outside of a building. At this time, the set 4 switches a signal to the tone signal. The tele-controller 3 detects the tone signal by a tone signal detecting part. Then, a temperature detecting circuit with a thermister is turned on to monitor a temperature surrounding the tele-controller 3. Since, the ambient temperature is reported in a voice consisting of the audible sound of a frequency 300 to 3400 Hz based on this detected temperature, information is given from the handset of the set 4.
