PURPOSE: An apparatus for controlling the temperature of a washing water of a washing machine is provided to prevent the laundry to washed from being damaged by maintaining the temperature of the washing water at a proper degree. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for controlling the temperature of a washing water of a washing machine comprises a temperature detecting sensor(111) which is coupled to a bottom of an outer tub(102) of the washing machine. A controller operates a water feeding valve(110) according to a signal inputted from the temperature detecting sensor(111) so as to maintain the temperature of the washing water at a proper degree. The operation of the water feeding valve(110) stops when the water in the outer tub(102) of the washing machine reaches a predetermined level. Then, a motor(106) is driven so as to rotate the rotating shaft(105). Accordingly, a pulsator(104) coupled to the rotating shaft(105) is rotated so as to wash the laundry. |
