PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tap guide that permits stable, accurate and quick tapping by facilitating alignment between the axis of a tap and the axis of a prepared hole formed in a material being cut and preventing a runout of the tap when it is manually turned. SOLUTION: The tap guide 1 has a guide hole 1a for holding, in aligned fashion, the axis of a tap 3 for tapping a hole before threading 5a formed in the surface of a material being cut 5 such as an iron plate and the axis of the hole before threading 5a.
