PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an amino acid composition produced from natural materials, having a remarkable renal dysfunction ameliorating action and essentially free from side actions in contrast with conventional synthetic drugs for the amelioration of renal dysfunction having high risk of side action and failing in getting satisfactory result. SOLUTION: The amino acid composition or amino acid solution for the amelioration of renal dysfunction contains threonine, proline, glycine, valine, isoleucine, leucine, tyrosine, phenylalanine, lysine, aspartic acid, serine, glutamic acid, alanine, methionine, tryptophan, histidine and arginine. The amino acid composition has low urea nitrogen concentration which is an index of renal dysfunction ameliorating action and low mortality by acute intoxication and knock-down rate. The use of the amino acid composition suppresses the development of renal dysfunction and relatively easily ameliorates the developed renal dysfunction.
