PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flowmeter with high accuracy. SOLUTION: Ultrasonic waves are transmitted from an ultrasonic converter 23 (or 24) of a transmitting side. Precise propagation delay time of the ultrasonic waves is determined by detecting the zero crossing point of the ultrasonic converter 24 (or 23) of a receiving side by sequentially updating the gating time. The flowmeter with the high accuracy is realized by precisely measuring flow velocity of fluid by using the determined time and calculating the fluid flow.
