PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric refrigerator in which interior temperature can be efficiently set to prescribed setting temperature by changing a flow path as required. SOLUTION: The electric refrigerator comprises a plurality of openings 21 in a storage chamber 4, a duct 22 for connecting the plural openings together, a second cold air passage 23 for connecting the duct to a fan 7, a second return passage 24 for connecting the duct to an evaporator 6 and path switching means 25 for switching the second cold air passage and the second return passage to open and close and switch the paths. The second cold pair passage or the second return passage is opened by the path switching means so that the openings are changed to outlet ports or to inlet ports. Thus, the path of cold air is changed in accordance with an interior state and a flow resistance of a position most requiring the cold air is lowered to efficiently supply the cold air, or the cold air is not supplied to a position requiring no cold air. Accordingly, the cold air can be efficiently distributed and a cooling efficiency can be improved.
