PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable voice communication in the state of closing a casing and to perform data communication by utilizing the display of a large screen in the state of opening the casing. SOLUTION: In the foldable and portable communication equipment constituted by linking a first casing 11 and a second casing 12 through a hinge part 14 so that the casings can be freely opened and closed, in the first casing, a receiving part 15 is provided on the upper part of the casing, a transmitting part 16 is provided on the lower part of the casing, a first display 17 is provided in the area between the receiving part and the transmitting part, and the side face of the casing different from the hinge part respectively has at least two operating keys of a first operating key 19 and a second operating key 20. In the second casing, a key pad 18 is provided on the face, which is hidden when the first casing and the second casing 2 are closed, a second display is provided on the face, which is not hidden when the first casing and the second casing are closed, and the receiving part, the transmitting part, the second display and the first and second operating keys are exposed in the state of closing the first casing and the second casing.
