PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten the reset period by preventing the drop of the increasing rate of a gradually increasing voltage due to discharge. SOLUTION: In the drive for plasma display pane in which gradually increasing voltages are applied to a cell group CL during a reset period for equalizing electric charges of the cell group CL constituting a display surface, gradually increasing voltages SV1, SV2 are inputted to impedance conversion circuits 712, 722 whose output impedances are lower than their input impedances and the output signals of the impedance conversion circuits 721, 722 are applied to the cell group CL.
