PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile terminal whose operating mode can automatically be switched according to a desire of a user independently of presence/absence of a wireless controller and to provide an operating mode changeover system employing it. SOLUTION: The mobile terminal is provided with a storage means that stores area information indicating a prescribed location and a function including an information reception notice function in cross-reference with each other, a detection means that detects a current position, an extract means that compares the position detected by the detection means with the area information and extracts the function corresponding to the area information from the storage means, and a setting means that sets the extracted function.
