PURPOSE: An air conditioner of a vehicle is provided to increase the performance of the air conditioner in heating by decreasing the occupation space of the air conditioner inside the vehicle room and preventing lowering of air flow in the maximum warming mode. CONSTITUTION: An air conditioner of a vehicle comprises an air conditioning case(20) having an inlet(25) flowing internal or external air and an outlet(29) divided into a defrost vent(26), a face vent(27) and a floor vent(28), an evaporator(30) vertically installed in the lower part of the air conditioning case, a heater core(40) spaced from the upper part of the evaporator, fixed to the inner wall of the air conditioning case and composed of a first blowing passage(41) and a second blowing passage(42) horizontally installed, a first temperature adjusting door(60) turned and installed to selectively pass air from the evaporator through the heater core and the second blowing passage, and a second temperature adjusting door(50) turned to selectively pass air from the inlet through the evaporator and the first blowing passage.
