PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve operation reliability and simplify maintenance of a chainless mold conveyor. SOLUTION: An upper rail 1 and a lower rail 2 having guide parts 1a, 2a which are bend to have a semi-circular shape at one end, respectively and constitute an inversion part 3 by being overlapped internally and externally and a drive sprocket 4 arranged on the other end of the rails 1, 2 are provided in lateral pairs. Molds 6 with wheels supported on the upper rail 1 are pushed by the drive sprocket 4, traveled to the inversion part 3, and then transferred to the lower rail 2 by being inverted by the inversion part 3. After traveled to the other end on the lower rail 2, the molds 6 with the wheels are lifted to the upper rail 1 by the drive sprocket 4 and are circulated. In such a mold conveyer, the wheels 10 of the molds 6 are mounted to the molds 6 in a heat insulated manner. Due to this, thermal conduction from high-temperature molten slag 8 to the wheels 4 is blocked, and bearing damage or the like caused by high temperature is eliminated. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
