<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polymer electrolyte membrane improved in ion conductivity and capable of efficiently preventing methanol crossover; to provide its manufacturing method; and to provide a fuel cell including the polymer electrolyte membrane. <P>SOLUTION: This invention provides: this polymer electrolyte membrane including a copolymer with a polysilsesquioxane group introduced therein and an ion conducting polymer; its manufacturing method; and this fuel cell including the polymer electrolyte membrane. The polymer electrolyte membrane has excellent ion conductivity and methanol crossover suppression capability, and is therefore useful for an electrolyte membrane for a fuel cell, and, in particular, for an electrolyte membrane for a direct methanol fuel cell. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
