REPEATING DEVICE AND REPEATING METHOD OF OPTICAL SIGNAL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a repeating device and repeating method of an optical signal capable of replacing the head of a synchronization bit part of optical burst signals by a simple constitution.

SOLUTION: The optical burst signals are converted into electric reception signals and accumulated in a buffer part 73, and the accumulated reception signals are output as recovery signals according to a reference clock. A synchronization pattern having the same pattern as a part or the whole of the synchronization bit of the reception signals is held previously in a synchronization pattern holding part 74, and a synchronization pattern signal is output according to the reference clock. The synchronization bit part of the recovery signals output from the buffer part 73 and the synchronization pattern signal from the synchronization pattern holding part 74 are switched. It is possible to replace the head of the synchronization bit part whose correct reproduction cannot be confirmed in the case of receiving processing with a correct synchronization pattern and to repeat it by the simple constitution.
