<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio-controlled timepiece equipped with a simplified correction function, capable of realizing power saving and furthermore simplification as an auxiliary method of time correction performed by receiving a standard electric wave or, for example, as an alternative procedure of time correction for a fixed period, and a simplified correction method of the radio-controlled timepiece. <P>SOLUTION: A time correction operation for correcting a present time based on time information (101 to 102 to 103) supplied from the outside is performed at a prescribed first point of time and a second point of time (104), and the elapsed time from the first point of time and a correction width at the second point of time are recognized at the second point of time, and data showing the elapsed time and the correction width are held (106), and the present time is corrected without receiving supply of time information newly from the outside based on correlation between the elapsed time (107) and the correction width by the held data. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
