<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact "optical pickup" which can be made small-sized without making the constitution complex. <P>SOLUTION: Wires 5 which are bridged between a lens holder 4 and a back surface substrate 16, and the optical path of light beams between a light receiving and emitting unit 10 and a reflection mirror 11 are separated along the optical axis direction of an objective lens 3 and are extended along the same direction looking from the center of the objective lens 3 in terms of the parts layout. The light receiving and emitting unit 10, its flexible wiring substrate 13 and a supporting plate 14 or the like are intensively arranged on one side section of the longitudinal direction ( a tangential direction) of a chassis 1 on which the back surface substrate 16 is arranged to elastically support the lens holder 4 through the wires 5. Moreover, the wires 5 and the supporting plate 14 are overlapped by providing escape holes 14a to which the base tip sections of the wires 5 can be inserted, on the supporting plate 14. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
