摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical treatment appliance which accelerates the secretion of tear by stimulating the lacrimal gland by using a cell activating reaction of an optical treatment at a low reactive level in order to eliminate the problems that a conventional laser treatment for an ophthalmologic region demands a large equipment or an advanced technique since being a surgical treatment using a high reactive level laser, and also, although there are the administration of an artificial tear, a punctum lacrimal plug, or a moisture keeping cover to be fitted on glasses and so forth for the lesion of dry eye, any of them does not substantially accelerate the secretion of tear regarding a treatment appliance for the lesion related to the secretion acceleration of tear. <P>SOLUTION: This optical treatment appliance is equipped with a fitting appliance for the eye section, and a single or right and left two treatment probes which are arranged on the appliance, have an illuminating element, and also, emit coherent light of a low reactive level from the distal end. The distal end of the probe projects from the fitting appliance for the eye section at a position where the distal end abuts on a vicinity of the lacrimal gland at the eye pit outer upper part. Then, the light irradiates a specified part in the vicinity of the lacrimal gland at the upper part of the eyelid. The light irradiation is performed by a positional adjustment and a touch sensor, and the treatment can safely be performed without irradiating the eyeball. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
