SEALED LEAD STORAGE BATTERY AND MANUFACTURING METHOD OF ELECTROLYTE THEREOF

An enclosed lead battery having excellent initial performance and long life-time is provided to prevent danger of explosion due to exhausted electrolyte and restrain a short phenomenon generated on a front side of unit cell plate. An enclosed lead battery(10) having excellent initial performance and long life-time comprises: a positive electrode plate; a negative electrode plat; a separator; a sulfate electrolyte layer(3) located inside an electrolyte bath(1); and a gel electrolyte layer(4) positioned in an upper part of the sulfate electrolyte layer. A method for preparing the enclosed lead battery has the following steps of: placing an unformed unit cell(2) inside the electrolyte bath and injecting sulfuric acid in order to perform a formation process in a formation step; injecting sol type electrolyte prepared by adding a sulphuric acid aqueous solution to silica dispersion wherein fumed silica and distilled water are mixed in an electrolyte injection step; and forming gel type electrolyte by leaving the sol type electrolyte as it is at a room temperature in a stabilization step.
