The invention relates to a compound, in particular a pharmaceutical compound, which is suitable preferably for the topical treatment of skin diseases, wherein the compound - each constituent in effective, in particular pharmaceutically effective, quantities - comprises a combination of (a) ectoin and/or at least one ectoin derivative, together with (b) urea and/or at least one urea derivative, and/or with (c) at least one constituent of St. John's wort (Hypericum perforatum L.).
