<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To instinctively appoint a date range by the directional instruction of upper, lower, right or left, and to simply narrow images from among ones stored in a storage medium into a possible print target. <P>SOLUTION: Since images stored in a memory card are narrowed by date, a region 701 wherein the start day of the date range is input is displayed at an upper part of the display screen of a display device, and a region 710 wherein the final day of the date range is input is displayed at a lower part. Either one of the ranges becomes a selectable state, allowing the selection to be appointed by the upper/lower direction keys. The change of the date within a selectable state range is executed by the right/left direction keys.
