PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multi-layer body that can simultaneously suppress the grain boundary mutual diffusion of oxygen and aluminum in a base body when exposed to an abrupt potential gradient of a corrosion gas such as oxygen, steam or the like, has superior heat resistance, and also has superior oxygen resistance barrier performance (oxidation resistance) more than a conventional art.SOLUTION: A multi-layer body comprises: a first layer formed by calcining a first raw material containing alumina and a rear earth compound (for example, Lu or the like); and a second layer formed by calcining a second raw material containing a compound including at least one element of alumina, Hf and Zr.
