PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of stabilizing a light quantity of light reflected by an intermediate transfer belt and incident on a photoreceptor drum surface even in the case that the intermediate transfer belt surface is whitened when electricity removing light reflected by the intermediate transfer belt is irradiated to the photoreceptor drums of the adjacent image forming units, and further removes electricity.SOLUTION: One image forming unit irradiates a first electricity removing light L1 on the surface of the photoreceptor drum 122 of the image forming unit, and performs electricity removal after a primary transfer, and a second electricity removing light L2 is emitted to the intermediate transfer belt 125 so as to be reflected, and this reflected second electricity removing light L2 is irradiated on the surface of a photoreceptor drum 122 of the other image forming unit adjacent to the image forming unit, and the image forming unit includes: an electricity removing device 51 for removing the electricity from the surface during development and transfer; a sensor for detecting reflectance of the light of the intermediate transfer belt 125; and a control part for adjusting the light quantity of the second electricity removing light L2 by controlling the electricity removing device 51 according to this detected reflectance.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
