PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To appropriately generate information relating to a road shape and make effective use of the information without entailing a complicated configuration and cost increase.SOLUTION: A road shape information generation apparatus 2 generates information relating to an inclination angle, in a vehicle forward direction, of a road on the basis of a sensor value that is input from an acceleration sensor 12 and that indicates an acceleration, and generates information relating to a curve radius, in the vehicle forward direction, of the road on the basis of a sensor value that is input from an angular velocity sensor 13 and that indicates an angular velocity and a sensor value that is input from a vehicle velocity sensor 14 and that indicates a vehicle velocity. It is possible to generate the information relating to the inclination angle and the curve radius, in the vehicle forward direction, of the road without using means for imaging a vehicle traveling on the road or means for image-processing and analyzing image data.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
