PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method capable of being configured at a low cost.SOLUTION: The device has a non-volatile memory and a controller. The non-volatile memory has a memory cell array and an internal buffer. When error correction processing of a first data read out from the memory cell array is failed, the controller stores a second data which is created from the first data in the internal buffer.
