PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power transmission shaft which can secure the torsion rigidity of fiber-reinforced plastic at a high level, and is reducible in weight.SOLUTION: The fiber-reinforced plastic of a shaft main body 3 has fabrics having directionality, and triangle waveform parts 9 in which a plurality of triangular parts 8 are arranged along a peripheral direction are formed at ends of short-shaft parts 2A, 2B. Triangle waveform parts 11 in which a plurality of triangular parts 10 are arranged along a peripheral direction are formed at both ends of the shaft main body 3. The short-shaft parts 2A, 2B and the shaft main body 3 are linearly integrated in a state that the shaft main body 3 is interposed between a pair of the short-shaft parts 2A, 2B by the contact gearing of sides of the triangle waveform parts 9 on the short-shaft parts 2A, 2B and sides of the triangle waveform parts 11 on the shaft main body 3 side.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
