PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical support arm device capable of downsizing an actuator for smoothly performing operations and inspections and more reliably preventing a break.SOLUTION: The actuator of a medical support arm device can be downsized by using a speed reducer having breakdown torque smaller than starting torque of a motor. The speed reducer with small breakdown torque has a relatively small size, so as to downsize the actuator. For the control value for driving the motor, the actuator includes a limit value set according to the breakdown torque of the speed reducer.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
