The prosthesis finds application in orthopedy in operations of humans or animals. It comprises a proximal (1, 2) or distal end component forming a component of a prosthetic joint, a shaft (5) assembled with distal or proximal end component, and stem (8) for engagement in a resected bone. Shaft (5) and the distal or proximal (1, 2) ends are connected by means of male (33, 42) and female (4, 7) conical parts. Some of the conical parts have a projection (32, 43) which projection comes out longitudinally from the prosthesis but is shifted from its axis and is meshed into a matching cavity (31). Projection (32, 43) supports the adjacent components in the desired angular connection. Stem (8) is also connected by male or female conical parts to the shaft (5) wherein some of the conical parts which include the projection contain male conical parts (33, 42). The prosthesis also has a lateral hole (36) reaching the cavity, secured for transversal access to the zone of the end of the male conical part (33, 42) by means of a dismantling tool. |
