A method of recycling cast polyurethane elastomers, consisting in pre-fragmenting scrap material and re-forming it on an extrusion machine. It is characterised in that the fragmented scrap is wetted before processing to reach the humidity level of 0.5 to 1 percent by mass. Then, it is pressed in an extruding machine through a cylinder (4). In the first heating zone (5) of the cylinder, the temperature is set between 160 and 180 degrees Celsius. In the second (6) and third (7) zone, the temperature is set to 145 to 165 degrees Celsius. In the fourth zone (8), the temperature is set to 140 to 145 degrees Celsius. In the head (9), it is set to 130 do 140 degrees Celsius. 0.75 percent by mass of a lubricating agent is introduced into the cylinder (4) of the extruding machine through the opening (2), located in the first heating zone (5). 0.5 percent by mass of a thermal stabiliser is introduced through the second opening (3), located in the second heating zone (6). |
