1. A system for planning a pathway through an anatomical luminal network of a patient, the system comprising:
memory storing a computer program configured to analyze and manipulate CT images; a processor configured: to execute the computer program; receive an input from a user identifying a location for a new waypoint, generate the new waypoint at the identified location, and output the new waypoint for display on a user interface; and automatically complete a pathway from the new waypoint to an entry point of the anatomical luminal network if the new waypoint is located in a known airway of the anatomical luminal network and output the automatically completed pathway for display on the user interface; and a display device configured to display a user interface of the computer program, the user interface comprising: an airway finder window displaying a CT image including a target, the CT image rotatable about a pre-defined axis of rotation to assist a user in identifying an airway of the anatomical luminal network, wherein the pre-defined axis of rotation is an axis defined from the target to a known airway of the anatomical luminal network, and the pre-defined axis of rotation extends outside of an airway of the anatomical luminal network. |
