Disclosed is a power inductor employing an integrated package. The power inductor comprises a coil winding, a soft magnetic ferrite center pillar inserted in the middle of the coil winding, and a magnetic adhesive integrally packaging the coil winding and the soft magnetic ferrite center pillar. The power inductor is characterized in that the power inductor is a cube and satisfies L ≥ W and 2rc > 0.4 × 2W, wherein a cross-sectional width of the soft magnetic ferrite center pillar in a direction perpendicular to the direction of a height of the inductor is 2rc, and the power inductor has a length of 2L and a width of 2W. The integrally packaged power inductor of the present invention is capable of obtaining a favorable balance between DC resistance and DC bias saturation characteristic, in which the DC resistance is greatly reduced while guaranteeing an excellent DC bias saturation characteristic, and thus the present invention is advantageous even with a flattened inductor. |
