PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cushioning material having excellent bulk recoverability, reducing permanent-set, and having proper resiliency, and composite short fiber capable of providing such a cushioning material.SOLUTION: The cushioning material includes a first component 1 and a second component 2, and also includes a composite short fiber 10 for revealing at least solid curling. In the cushioning material, the first component 1 includes at least one kind of linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE) by 60 mass% or more, and density of the whole linear low-density polyethylene included in the first component 1 is 0.88 g/cm-0.918 g/cm, and in a fiber cross section, the first component 1 occupies at least 20% of a fiber surface, and a gravity center position of the second component 2 is dislocated from a gravity center position of the fiber, and at least a part of the mutual fibers is thermally adhered by at least a part of the first component 1. |
