Rubbish is transferred from collector vehicles via a press to large-capacity containers. At the inlet side of the press is a stationary loading shaft, into which the rubbish is discharged by a number of vehicles. The press travels sideways, to allow it to be coupled up to a number of large-capacity containers parked alongside each other. The base of the loading shaft can be formed by the filler opening of the press, and by cover plates fixed to the press on both sides of the opening. |
