PURPOSE:To provide a small sized and low power consumption cordless telephone set with a paging function in which the paging operation is available without the need of independent provision of a circuit or the like required for the paging. CONSTITUTION:This cordless telephone set provided with a master set 1 connecting to a telephone line and a slave set 2 connecting to the master set 1 via a radio channel receives a preset paging mode identification signal 54 in plural bits sent from the master set 1 or the slave set 2 via the radio channel and executes the processing in the paging mode when a prescribed number of bits or over in the received preset paging mode identification signal 54 are coincident with reference bits.
