PURPOSE:To improve input operation efficiency and to prevent input errors by using an address input device utilizing postal code number, town section reading KANA (Japanese syllabary) and house number reading KANA when an operator inputs addresses entered in an input document. CONSTITUTION:By inputting the postal code number, the town section reading KANA and the house number reading KANA entered in the input document with a keyboard 1-2 and retreiving a ward/town/village master file 1-13 and a town section master file 1-32 with an address data generator 1-10 to be displayed at a display 1-1, the prefecture name, the city/county name, the ward/ town/village name, the town section name and the house number name of the input document are compared, selected numbers and characters are inputted by the keyboard 1-2 and the address of the input document and the address code of the town section file 1-32 are outputted to an address data file 1-33. |
