PURPOSE:To induce a strong tumble in intake air and enhance the cooling of an exhaust valve in a cylinder head of an internal combustion engine. CONSTITUTION:An intake port 7 and an exhaust port 6 both open in one side wall. The intake port 7 is juxtaposed to and above the exhaust port 6. A stem 41 of an exhaust valve 4 penetrates both the exhaust port 6 and the intake port 7.
