PURPOSE:To provide new production of 2-aminoresorcin useful as a synthetic intermediate for medicines, agrochemicals, dye, etc. CONSTITUTION:4,6-Dichlororesorcin is nitrated to give 4,6-dichloro-2-nitroresorcin as a new compound, which is further catalytically reduced to give 2- aminoresorcin or reduced to 4,6-dichloro-2-aminoresorcin once and chlorine atom is replaced with hydrogen to produce 2-aminoresorcin. |
