PURPOSE:To accurately detect the position of a window glass and control the ascent/descent position by resetting the count value of the output pulses of a pulse generator to the initial value each time the window glass is detected to reach a reference position certain times. CONSTITUTION:When a, power window action switch 16 is operated, a CPU 30 drives a motor 12 to lift or lower a window glass. When the window glass reaches a reference position, e.g. the fully closed position, during the ascent/ descent, the CPU 30 detects it. When the CPU 30 detects that the window glass reaches the fully closed position certain times, it updates the count value of the output pulses of a pulse generator 14 to the initial value. The error of the count value generated during operation is canceled each time the count value is updated to the initial value before a large error is generated in the count value by the chattering output of the pulse generator 14 when a motor 12 is stopped or by the integration of the pulse outputs in the opposite direction generated in excess when the reverse rotation of the motor 12 is started after it is stopped. |
