PURPOSE:To provide an indicator which rapidly transmits signals from a controller at the center to an indicating board at a road and displaying a free pattern at the operating device and further, effectively checking the displaied pattern of the operating device. CONSTITUTION:A controller 1 in the center is connected to a plurality of road indicating boards 5 by telephone lines 2. The road information is shown on the road indicating boards 5 by the signals from the controller 1. A memory 10 containing a font pattern is connected to an auxiliary controller 4 set at the road indicating board 5 and receiving the signals from the controller 1 and controlling the indication of boards. And the font codes are transmitted from the controller 1 to the road indicating bords 5 to display the free patterns on the boards 5. An indicating monitor having the same number of image elements with the road indicating board 5 is equipped in an operating device 9 set at the board 5 to display the same image with the board 5 on the indicating monitor. |
