The valve comprises a ring (1) on the inside of which inwardly curved flaps (2) are articulated, the ring having diametrally opposite arrangements (1b - 1c) which are capable of ensuring the offsetting of the means for articulation of the flaps, so that in the maximum opening position of at least approximately 85@ these flaps project by only a reduced value in the plane of the ring, delimiting, in combination with the profile of the flaps, three equal areas permitting a laminar and axial central flow, the means for articulation of the said flaps being integrated within the thickness of the ring in such a way that the ends of the flaps in the area of the arrangements (1b - 1c) are spaced apart, delimiting an entirely free space so as not to limit and impede the central flow. The ring (1) has an inner peripheral arrangement (1a) which is capable of constituting a bearing surface corresponding to the outer profiled edge (2b) of the flaps (2), in the closure position of the latter, creating a damping phenomenon.
