The door has an inner panel (1) an outer panel (2) a door window frame (3) and a window glass (5) which is guided vertically in a sliding guide. An exterior handle controls an actuator for the door lock (6). The lock and receiver for the exterior handle are combined by a support (11) to form an installation module. Both the inner and outer door panels are shaped to accommodate introduction and installation of the module, which comprises a support (14) for the door lock. The support is U-shaped to cover the lock rod leading from the handle to the door lock.
