System for detecting persons and objects in passage monitoring areas. The system includes a receiving aerial 1 of the necessary dimensions for covering the whole area to be monitored, and a programmable analyser that identifies the various objects and persons encountered in the area monitored by the aerial. The aerial 1 is combined with an oscillator 4 completed by a transistor 6. The analyser includes a microprocessor 10, as well as digital-to-analogue and analogue-to-digital converters 11 and 14, respectively, together with some filters 12 and 12' and an amplifier and intermediate cover 13, the said analyser being completed by a display 16 and a keyboard 17 for the appropriate display and programming of the parameters. The system is used to discover and detect the presence of objects and/or persons in specified areas of passage to a premises. <IMAGE>
