PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the generation of rust in piping and appliances for feed water, hot water supply, ground water, etc., and to prolong the life of piping equipment by stopping the red water of city water, etc. SOLUTION: This system comprises an electrode part 2 with a limiter for energizing the water in the metallic piping 1 for feed water with a DC slight current (8 to 26 mA), a current controller 3 for supplying a slight current (25 to 150 mA) to the electrode part 2 and a ground 4 connected to the piping 1. The current controller 3 is connected to a general AC power source 5 and allows the connection of the ground 4 as well. The electrochromic part 2 is mounted to be exposed in the water passage hole in the central part of a disk- shaped insulative electrode holder held between the flanges 6 of a piping juncture in such a manner that the electrode comes into contact with the water. The piping is replenished with electrons by the energization of the slight current from the electrode, by which the ionization of the metal is prevented and the generation and progression of the rust over the entire part of the feed water piping equipment are suppressed. Since the current is extremely slight, no adverse influences are exerted in work, actual life and the human body at all. |
