PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To repair an existing bathtub at extremely low cost within a short term of works to obtain a bathtub having a beautiful inner surface. SOLUTION: An air-pressure or vacuum forming machine 2 is arranged above an existing bathtub 1. A sheet 4 is pressed to the upper surface of the bathtub 1 and subsequently heated to a predetermined temp. to be softened. Subsequently, air pressure is applied to the upper surface of the sheet 4 or the air between the sheet 4 and the inner surface of the bathtub 1 is sucked to closely bond the sheet 4 to the inner surface of the bathtub 1. After the sheet 4 is cooled and hardened to form a molded object the molded object is detached from the bathtub 1. After an adhesive is applied to the outer surface of the molded object or the inner surface of the bathtub 1, the molded object 5 is fitted in the bathtub 1 to be bonded thereto. |
