<p>A nozzle for a hot air projection source is positioned between flat pieces (2a, 2b) to be thermo-welded together; and carrying the hot air to the required point of application. The nozzle (3) has: (a) a base (9) connected to a hot air duct (10), and (b) a nose (11) connected to the base and permitting projection of the hot air in the desired direction following the axis of projection (3a). The nose (11) is able to be positioned between the pieces to be joined and the nozzle has a valve (1a) arranged on the upper face (18) of the base (9) that can be opened to divert the hot air in a different direction than the nose. Also claimed is an appts. for thermowelding including: (i) the heat source (3); (ii) a press (4) with the heat source (3) upstream; (iii) a driving (23) and guidance (5) means; and (iv) a control device (6) associated with a temp. detector (7) that by opening and closing the valve (19) can provide intermittent heating through the nozzle.</p> |
