PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely return a fueling hose to the housing location, and prevent the fueling hose and a wire under a loosened state from being engaged with an automobile by notifying the returning of the fueling hose to the housing location when a detection signal is not output from a detecting means even when a fueling operator forgets to return the fueling hose to the housing location after the completion of the fueling is detected by a fueling completion detecting means. SOLUTION: For this fueling device, a retractor mechanism 6 which supports an intermediate part of a fueling hose 9 under a hanging state, is provided on a hose supporting part 5. The tip end of a wire 13 of the retractor mechanism 6 is connected to a ring-form engaging member 17 which is engaged with the fueling hose 9. Then, at the mounting location of the wire 13, a photo-sensor 16 which detects the returned location of the wire 13 is provided. When the fueling hose 9 is returned to the housing location, the wire 13 is inserted in a space between a light-emitting element 16a and a light-receiving element 16b, and light is shut off, and thus, the returning of the fueling hose 9 to the housing location can be detected. Also, after the completion of the fueling, if the returning of the fueling hose 9 to the housing location is forgotten, from a speaker 14, a message to instruct the returning of the fueling hose 9 is announced.
